Granola
Ingredients:
6
Cups rolled oats
1
Cup wheat germ
1
Cup salted sunflower seeds
1
Cup walnuts or pecans
2
Tbsp. vanilla
Mix
the above except the vanilla extract together in
a large bowl and sprinkle heavily with cinnamon.
Mix
in measuring cup and heat in microwave for approx. 1 minute
the following:
1/2 Cup Canola oil or other vegetable oil
1/4 Cup honey
1/4 Cup brown sugar
Before
pouring over dry mixture stir in 2 tbsp. vanilla into oil-honey
mixture. Pour over dry mixture and stir thoughly. This is
the most important part because the amount of liquid is
small in comparison to the dry. Spread in large raosting
pan and bake in 325 degree oven for approximately 40 minutes;
stiring carefully. Bake an additional 20 minutes. After
your granola has cooled keep in an air tight container or
freeze in freezer bags in portion size.
