Ingredients
and Quantities:
2 Cubes Butter
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
3/4
Cup sugar
1/2
Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 1/2
Cups Flour
1/3
Cups Slivered Almonds
1/2
Teaspoon Salt
Directions:
Combine butter and sugar, flour, salt and baking powder. Cut
with pastry blender until crumbly. Press mixture into 9xl2
baking dish. Bake 15 min. at 350 degrees.
While
crust is baking prepare filling:
Mix
1 cup sour cream with:
2 egg
yolks,
1/2
cup brown sugar,
and
1 tsp. vanilla.
Peel and
cut 3-4 large pears into slices. Arrange slices on top
of baked crust. Pour the sour cream mixture over the pears. Sprinkle
with slivered almonds and bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees
(until custard is set). Cool slightly before cutting. Serves
10-12 people. |
