Gormet Pear Hawaiian French Toast

3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 C pinapple juice
2 pears (cored & thinly sliced)
chopped macadamia nuts
1/4 tbsp fresh ginger or 1/8 tbsp dry ginger
French Toast (see below)

Ingredients for French Toast:
2 Eggs
1/2 C milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
dry bread

Heat butter in a skillet, add sugar and stir until melted. Stir in pinapple juice and ginger. Boil until slightly syrupy. Add pears, cook until tender for 5 to 10 minutes.

To serve:
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar, add pear sauce and top with macadamia nuts.
